Mental Health at IU

Your mental health is our priority

From the thrill of being on your own and chasing your dreams to feeling alone and stressed along the way, college can be so many things. Our priority is supporting you throughout your IU journey, and we understand that no two journeys are the same. There is no one-size-fits-all solution to traversing through the highs and the lows, which is why we’ve assembled a wide lineup of resources to support you.

Not sure where to start?

Consider reaching out for support if:

  • Stress is interfering with school, work, relationships, or daily responsibilities.
  • Changes in mood, sleep, or concentration are affecting you.
  • You feel overwhelmed or have difficulty coping.
  • Alcohol or substance use is causing concern.
  • You are worried about your safety or someone else’s safety.
  • You simply feel that talking with someone might help.

You do not have to wait until a situation becomes a crisis.

A counselor can help you determine what kind of support may be useful.
